This morning, I saw a pinkish lump on my wall and called the landlord right away

This morning, I found a strange pinkish, oozing mass coming out of a crack in my kitchen wall. It looked like a mix of synthetic and organic material, and I froze in shock.

I immediately called my landlord. He arrived quickly, but after briefly glancing at it, he casually said it was “just old insulating foam,” wiped some away with a tissue, and left without further explanation.

His dismissive behavior concerned me. Feeling uneasy, I sent a close-up photo of the substance to a biologist friend. When he called back, his tone was serious. He said it resembled a fungus colony, possibly mixed with parasitic insects or mycelium. “Such infestations can persist for years in moist, unventilated areas,” he warned.

Fearing health risks, especially to my lungs, I left the apartment right away. Despite repeated attempts, my landlord hasn’t responded.

Now I’m left wondering: Was it truly harmless foam, or something dangerous hiding in the walls? His quick dismissal only deepens my concern.
